CG5 has evolved and developed, from the individual trustees organising and hosting sporting themed events, bringing people together, promoting sport and raising money for a variety of causes across the country.
This has developed to a grander vision of making a difference to society, by bringing together the passion shared by the four individuals for sport and the community and creating an organisation in CG5 that will encourage, help, support and aide the involvement and progression of young and disabled people in sport.
The physical and health benefits are well documented, but we also believe the psychological and social benefits that inclusion in sport can make to our world are unmeasurable.
What drives us forward at CG5?
Whilst the trustees of the CG5 team come from a variety of professional backgrounds, we are united by a common goal – to give something back to the community by helping young and disabled individuals realise and reach their full potential through inclusion in sporting activity.
We all recognise the key role that sport plays in the development of young people, the physical and health benefits as well as the valuable life skills and core values it helps to nurture and the strong moral and ethical codes it can instil. We feel strongly that sport is integral and essential for a young or disabled person’s personal development and lays the foundations for future success, we believe that sport should be available and accessible to all.
It is our aim to help as many young people as possible reach their full potential through inclusion in sport whether just for fun or reaching an elite level and improve society in general.
